The Benagil Caves, or “Grutas de Benagil,” are a natural wonder just a few minutes away from Lagos, known for their mesmerizing beauty and rock formations. And guess what? Kayaking is one of the best ways to explore them since it’s the best opportunity to enter the caves themselves. Unlike larger boats, kayaks allow you to get close to the caves.

Your kayaking adventure typically starts at Benagil Beach, where you can rent a kayak or join a guided tour. You’ll paddle through narrow entrances and into the heart of the caves, where you’ll be amazed by the rock formations and the openings above.
