Who comes to wing foil camp?
Complete beginners and intermediate riders, solo adventurers and couples. Wing foiling is the fastest-growing water sport in the world — most of our guests have never tried it before and want to learn it properly, from scratch, in a week.

Complete beginner?
Zero experience needed. The Zero to Hero package starts on land with wing control basics before you ever touch the water. Most guests are riding by day three. Minimum age 13.

Had a few sessions?
The Intermediate package picks up where you left off. Five semi-private sessions focused on consistency, direction changes, and reading conditions. You’ll leave with a real technique.

Traveling with someone?
One of you does wing foil, the other tries kite or surf. You share the camp, the pool, and the evenings. Twin rooms and bungalows available.

Wing foiling has three things to learn at the same time: controlling the wing, balancing on the board, and — once the foil lifts — keeping yourself in the air without touching the water. The good news is that each piece is learnable, and they all click together faster than most people expect.
Your week follows conditions, not a fixed timetable. Instructors check wind and water the evening before, choose the best spot for your level — Meia Praia or the flat-water Alvor Lagoon — and confirm your session time. You’ll know by the time you go to dinner where you’re heading the next morning.
Day 1: Control the wing and get on the board
You start on land. How to inflate, hold, and control a wing. How it generates power and how to dump power instantly. Then into shallow water — walking with the wing, feeling the pull, learning to depower. By the end of day one most people are standing on the board and starting to feel how the wing moves them.
Days 2 to 3: Learning to ride and starting to foil
Board under your feet, wing in your hands. You’re riding the board on the water and working on balance — staying upright as speed builds and the foil starts to lift. This is where the real learning happens. You fall a lot. Then you fall less. The foil begins to rise, and you start to feel what it means to be above the water.
Days 4 to 5: First foil rides above the water
Putting it all together. Consistent foil rides, controlled direction changes, learning to read the wind. For most guests, days four and five are when wing foiling stops feeling like a lesson and starts feeling like a sport they own.
Where do you wing foil in the Algarve?
Two spots, chosen every evening based on wind strength and direction. Both are a short distance from camp.
