What if there’s no wind today?
WhatsApp us first to check conditions. Both sports need wind. The Algarve’s Nortada thermal makes summer very reliable, but we offer free cancellation on any lesson day where conditions aren’t suitable.
How do I get to the lagoon?
Our van picks you up from our Lagos base and drives you to the Alvor lagoon — about 15 minutes. Transport is included in the lesson fee. No car needed.
What’s the difference between windsurf and wing foil?
Windsurfing uses a board with a fixed sail — you steer by shifting your body weight. Wing foiling is the newest water sport: you hold a handheld inflatable wing and ride a foilboard that lifts above the water surface once you’re up to speed. Both start from the Alvor lagoon and both are beginner-friendly.
Do I need any experience?
Zero experience needed for either sport. No windsurfing background required for wing foil — they’re taught independently from zero. Our VDWS-certified instructors start from absolute basics.
What’s included?
Everything: board, sail or wing, wetsuit, harness, and van transport. Wing foil includes the foilboard. Just bring a swimsuit and sunscreen.
