Yoga for Surfers
Yoga built around what surfing actually asks of your body
Surfing asks a lot from your body. Paddling, popping up, balancing on the board, constantly adapting to the movement of the ocean. Yoga for Surfers focuses on the areas surfers use most, combining mobility, strength, balance, flexibility and recovery into one practice.
Come before a surf to get your body moving, or after a session to stretch, release tension and recover. Either way, it’s designed to complement your time in the water, not replace it.
- Monday to Saturday, 8:00 AM, 60-minute class
- €10 per class, drop-in
- Open to external guests, you don’t need to be staying at Algarve Watersport
What to expect in a session
A dynamic and accessible session, not a slow stretch-and-relax class. Expect to move, breathe and work.
Each class mixes flowing movement, targeted stretches, balance work and breathwork. We work on opening up areas that get tight from surfing, improving range of movement, and building better body awareness, while also giving you time to slow down and recover.
You don’t need yoga experience. The class adapts to different levels and bodies, so it works whether this is your first time on a mat or you already have a regular practice. You don’t need to be an experienced surfer either. It’s designed for surfers and active bodies in general.
