What if there’s no wind today?
WhatsApp us before booking to confirm today’s conditions. The Nortada thermal wind is very reliable June–September, typically kicking in early afternoon. Free cancellation if conditions don’t allow a lesson.
Where are lessons held?
At the Ria de Alvor lagoon, about 15 minutes from Lagos by van. Flat water, sheltered from ocean swell — the ideal spot for learning. Our van picks you up from our Lagos base and brings you back. Transport is included.
Do I need any experience?
None. We start from zero — ground school first, then body-dragging in the water, then standing on the board. No swimming ability required either; you wear a life jacket throughout.
What’s included in the lesson?
Everything: kite, control bar, board, harness, wetsuit, life jacket, helmet, and van transport. Just bring a swimsuit and sunscreen.
What is the VDWS licence?
An internationally recognised kitesurfing certification. Once you earn it, you can rent kite gear at schools worldwide without repeating a course. It’s included in your lesson fee at no extra cost.
