Yoga
We not only want you to take home great memories and new watersport experience, we also want you to take home something, which helps you to keep your peace of mind while you are away from the ocean. Yoga is a great way to keep your body, mind and soul sharp until the next time you will get in the water.
Many professinal water women and men like Kelly Slater (9x Surf Champion), Kristine Boese (9x Kiteboarding Champion) and Larid Hamilton (Big Wave Surf Legend) have found yoga to be one of the key preperation tools for their watersport careers.
By practicing yoga and breathing techniques you can improve:
- Strength
- Flexibility
- Agility
- Balance
- Lung capacity
- Concentration
- Calmness in challenging situations
Yoga also helps to prevent your body from getting hurt and shortens the recovering time between the sessions.
Needless to say that the ultimate goals of yoga are happiness, simplicity and peace of mind. Something that in our regular everyday live may sometimes get out of focus and which the nature experience, while practicing watersport, in combination with yoga can remind us of.
Free Yoga Session at the Camp
Taking all this into consideration, it might not hurt to give it a try with a free yoga session at the Kite-Surf-Wake Camp in Lagos.

Jenny and Igor are residents of the Algarve and have been living and breathing yoga for many years now. They chose Lagos to open their yoga school: The Lightroom, where they teach an organic blend of different hatha yoga styles, always rooted in their spiritual background as buddhist meditation practitioners. The Lightroom is only a short walk from the Kite House and offers a peaceful place to breathe in the heart of Lagos. You can find more about them and the Lightroom here.
